What to wear in New York during the winter?
I'm going to New York later this year. I lived in Miami all my life so I do not think he never knew when it cools to 40 degrees. Needless to say I have no winter clothes, in fact, do not even have shoes that live in flip flops. I'll be there the 3rd week December (hope to see snow, but I hear that is unlikely), what should I expect and what kind of clothes should I invest? I have a few scarves and gloves .. I go for the great "Michelin man" jackets or is excessive for the onset of winter in New York? I do not want to spend money on winter clothing so expensive it will be useless .. On the other hand I do not freeze. If you can, please send a link with examples. THANK YOU!
